New ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2’ photo centers on John C Reilly’s Ralph, Sarah Silverman’s Vanellope

A new Walt Disney Animation Studios film for 2018 is Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 and the Mouse House gave fans a brand new image from the film that gives us a better idea of what to expect from this follow-up. Check it out below.

The story finds Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) literally going into the internet, offering up a whole new world to explore as the arcade characters enter cyberspace.

There is a full synopsis below.

Director Rich Moore is back for the sequel, having co-directed the smash hit Zootopia.

The sequel will also see Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) returning.

Taraji P. Henson (Hidden Figureshas joined the cast for the sequel as an Internet expert named Yesss, a trend-aholic algorithm who acts like a guide to Ralph and Vanellope.

Ralph will meet up with many of the Disney princesses, who will come together for the first time in a feature film. These voice actors include Kristen Bell (Anna from Frozen), Jodi Benson (Ariel in The Little Mermaid), Auli‘i Cravalho (Moana), Paige O’Hara (Belle from Beauty and the Beast), Ming-Na Wen of Mulan, Pocahontas’s Irene Bedard, Tangled’s Mandy Moore, Kelly MacDonald (Merida in Brave), The Princess and the Frog’s Anika Noni Rose and Frozen’s Idina Menzel.

These tease of the scene appeared at D23 and Auli‘i Cravalho spoke about the experience: “I loved that,” Cravalho said. “It was so much fun to bring back my character. I believe I saw just a few storyboards, which is usually how it is in animation. You get sort of a sense of what’s going on and then they just let you go and you do it over and over, many different ways, little lilts in your voice and perhaps with a question at the end. That’s really fun but I had no idea just how funny and how well it would resonate with audiences.”

She confessed that she didn’t meet them until the convention: “I did not get to meet them in person until later at D23 when we did the actual reveal of Wreck-It Ralph and we had a little short clip,” Cravalho said. “We recorded everything separately but it was wonderful to see these incredible women who kind of shaped my childhood, if I can say that. I’m only 17. My childhood was, what, three years ago.”

Anthony Daniels, who voices C-3PO, is listed as well as Alan Tudyk (King Candy in the first film and K-2SO in Rogue One) and James Corden in an undisclosed role.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 opens in theaters on November 21st.
