‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star Dave Bautista wants to return as Hinx for ‘James Bond 25’
Marvel makes a big splash today as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 arrives in theaters. One star, Dave Bautista, who plays Drax, spoke recently about returning to another big franchise: James Bond.
““Believe me we’re talking about it a lot. We’re waiting at home with our fingers crossed,” Bautista said on returning to play the villainous henchman Hinx, who was introduced in Bond 24, Spectre.
“We’re waiting for the news to see if Daniel (Craig) will sign up for Bond 25, because then there’s a chance that Hinx will come back.”
Rumors have swirled for awhile that Craig was out, then back in and now out. At one point Craig said he’d rather “slash his wrists” than do another one, to admitting he kind of missed it. Bautista himself admits he has no idea what Craig is thinking. “I’m reading the rumors just like everyone else.”
Drax will continue into the foreseeable future, with Guardians Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Guardians Vol. 3 all on the horizon.
Guardians of the Galay Vol. 2 opens nationwide May 5th.
